The purpose of this study is to determine how an oral and topical botanical extract affects the properties of the skin and the diversity of the gut microbiome. This is a study evaluating a supplement rather than a drug.
This study requires

• Up to four (4) study visits over the course of eight (8) weeks.

• Participants will take an oral botanical supplement to study changes in the gut microbiome and a topical botanical supplement to evaluate how it changes the cosmetic appearance of the skin.

Who can participate

Those who MAY be able to participate:

  • Women ages 25-55
  • Those that can attend study visits in Sacramento, CA

Those who may NOT be able to participate:

  • Those who currently smoke
  • Those who are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • Those who are unable to discontinue topical medication for two (2) weeks prior to starting the study
