Description
We invite people with doctor-diagnosed food allergies, asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis, eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE), and other allergic conditions to participate in prescreening for allergy and asthma research at our center.

The Stanford Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research aims to discover the underlying mechanisms behind allergies to develop a lasting cure. Participation in the prescreening process may teach you something about your allergies and it may be used to determine your eligibility for research studies or trials at our center. If you come in for an appointment, prescreening procedures may include skin prick testing, blood testing, oral food challenge (OFC) and/or collection of other specimens. Thanks to the participation of about a thousand volunteers, we have the expertise to do such procedures in a safe and controlled way. All procedures and study evaluations are at no cost. Please note that we are testing for true food allergies and not intolerances. Our testing incorporates only common allergens. Some tests are for research purposes only and you may not receive these results.

Please note that this is for prescreening purposes only and does not guarantee enrollment into a clinical trial.

This prescreening is a one-time event. However, you may need to come to the Sean N. Parker Center in Mountain View for more than one visit.

During your visit, several procedures may happen, depending on your allergy history. Procedures include food challenges, skin tests, blood tests, urine sample, stool sample, cheek/skin swab, sputum collection, lung function tests, and/or other procedures.

Please note that this is for prescreening purposes only and does not guarantee enrollment into a clinical trial.
