Description
We are looking for interested participants to volunteer to participate in an 18 week research study that will examine the effects of daily walnut intake on markers of cardiovascular and skin health.
This study requires

This study takes 5 study visits, lasting about 2-3 hours each. Be willing to provide a blood sample during each study visit, and a urine sample at home

Who can participate
  • Postmenopausal women 45-65 years of age
  • No period for at least two years
  • Overweight or Obese (BMI 25.0 - 35 kg/m2)
  • Not taking any medications, and willing to stop supplement use prior to and throughout the study period.
Compensation
We will pay you $325 for participating in this study.

Study duration and period
The screening day visit will take approximately 1 hour to complete the consenting process, anthropometric measures, complete the health and dietary questionnaire and the blood draw. Participants eligible for enrollment will be asked to participate in a 20 week study that includes a pre-visit, plus 4 study day visits, with each visit lasting about 2 hours. Participants will be asked to complete daily compliance logs that will document product intake, and 3 day food records during each study phase
